Ubisoft confirmed today that a new open-world action-RPG Assassin’s Creed game is coming to mobile devices soon. The game developer excitedly revealed that this will be the first open-world AC game on mobile, and you can’t fathom our excitement. That said, let’s take a look at all the details about Assassin’s Creed Codenamed Jade.
Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade Announced
As you can tell, the upcoming Assassin’s Creed game for mobile devices doesn’t have an official name yet. This mobile game is currently being referred to as Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade, much like other games joining the franchise under Project Infinity in the future.
The official Assassin’s Creed Twitter account shared the trailer for the upcoming mobile title, and you can watch it right here. As you can see in the tweet’s caption, the AC Mobile game will be based in ancient China, and the graphics are absolutely amazing in the trailer.
In addition to the trailer, executive producer Mark Alexis Cote, VP of Assassin’s Creed at Ubisoft, revealed some key details for Codename Jade at the event. The first big highlight of the AC Mobile game will be that you can create your own characters for the first time in any of Ubisoft’s open-world games.
Moreover, “You’ll have the chance to do things like parkour atop the Great Wall of China, sneak through bustling cities, engage in intense warfare, and discover secrets, the vastness of ancient China” in Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade game. Ubisoft has not yet offered a release timeline for this mobile game.
However, that’s not all. Ubisoft also confirmed that it is developing a separate AC mobile game in partnership with Netflix, which you’ll be able to access from the streaming app. The two giant companies are also working on a live-action Assassin’s Creed TV series based on the franchise.
